Diet tips!

My biggest diet tip is to ask the Lord to help you "repent" of eating too much (greed & gluttony) & then ask Him for self control. Then keep it up! (But you must ask in faith, believing God exists & rewards those who earnestly seek Him, Hebrews 11:6 )  Then, be patient...God has a lot to teach us patience, perseverance, & His faithfulness.         Now, onto the topic of food....(pray about WHAT to eat). I got this idea after enjoying some lime & salt flavored skinny girl popcorn:  I made my own popcorn in a hot air popper. Then I put some lime juice in a little spray bottle since I save those neat little things. I believe this one had scented body spray in it. Anyhow, put the popcorn in a shallow dish & spritz the lime juice liberally on it. This helps to make the salt stick to the popcorn as you eat it. The butter flavored "popcorn salt" works well as it is fine textured. So yummy, but even as I eat this low calorie food, I ask God for self control because I only need so much, & at some point, I turn greedy.  Here is one more major thing I am learning....do not COVET what others eat!  I feed my two teenage boys a variety of foods & LOTS of it. I am learning I need nowhere near the calories that those boys use & if I do eat what they eat ( yummy homemade hamburger helper!) I only need a tiny amount....like half a cup while they eat three or four cups!  The other day, they got a homemade zucchini brownie with chocolate pudding & cool whip on top. I thought about eating one but honestly, a salad sounded better to me....that is a MIRACLE in my mind....God is answering my prayers!        Have a great day!   Love, Cynthia
