My computer crashed with a little help from me but I'm back & the new setup is fine. I am thinking of this verse in Isaiah 55:8 " For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways " says the Lord. In the preceding verses, God tells us to seek Him & to forsake our ways & return to Him to receive mercy. We most definitely need God's help in everything we do & I think He is constantly teaching us this simple message. We have to learn to listen to Him for direction in EVERYTHING! I took David to our annual church & baptism service in the mountains yesterday sort of assuming that he would enjoy it along with me. This child obviously had different thoughts than I did! Instead of thinking it was a lovely setting for a church service, he felt the service was everything BORING & was holding him back from exciting exploring adventures. I have some stories alright but I will just sum it up by saying that we struggled pretty much ALL DAY with David's discontent, whining, & even chasing him down several times as he headed into the woods or out of sight. Now, I must confess that I had dreams of a beautiful, scenic, & PEACEFUL, & RELAXING day. Well, except for beautiful scenery which I hardly noticed, it DIDN'T HAPPEN that way! David's thoughts definitely were not my thoughts! I'm sure my thoughts were NOT God's thoughts! I struggled throughout the day, wondering what had happened to the special day I had hoped for. Today, as I reflect & pray for some insight to share with you here, I think I should just say trust Him with the good & the bad. I'm not necessarily going to have a good day just because I want one, but I have plenty of good days because of God's mercy.Actually TODAY is the peaceful relaxing day  I didn't expect. I will tell you, GOD IS GOOD! Love & prayers, in Jesus, Cynthia

  1. Oh, yes, all because of His mercy - but how we want those good days! Beautiful illustration, wonderful reminder.
