I've been thinking about & praying to understand Isaiah 45:3 where God says He will give us "the treasures of darkness" & "hidden riches of secret places", basically so we can know Him! I can only understand what God so lovingly allows me to see. First of all, HE is our ultimate treasure!He of course is the great Creator Who made absolutely everything yet relates to His creation in a most human way. Jesus is a perfect representation of God the Bible tells us(Hebrews, I think)But this is what strikes me today so clearly about God that He is like His human creation in the sense that what ultimately each one of us has to give is OURSELVES. If we are a mother,father,child,friend, or lover we learn to give bits & pieces of ourselves to establish these relationships. I am here to tell you that the most awesome relationship in the world is God HIMSELF desiring to have a personal relationship with us. When we personally seek Him,by faith(which pleases Him-again, Hebrews). I think God's greatest desire is that we know & love Him! As a woman who desires to be known &loved (NOT known & hated please!), I find it absolutely amazing to think the God of the Universe has the desire that I understand very well,& that is SIMPLY to be known & be loved! There is one major difference in knowing God & knowing a human; God alone is worthy of our worship. In fact, if we begin to truly know Who He is we can't help but to truly love & worship Him! Every knee shall bow but I don't think every heart will love & worship Him. Only those hearts who have been given the treasures can love! It's a gift & it's all grace!
