Bible verses for 2015

I simply was not motivated to pray for a "word" for 2015, but we should ALWAYS want to communicate with the Lord & listen carefully to His WORDS to us. Anyway, here are two verses that have seemed to STAND OUT to me for weeks & I love what they implicate into my life. I see partial fulfillment of their meaning everyday & yet, they speak promise of wonder into my future as well....which is really encouraging some days!          Jeremiah 33:3  CALL TO ME AND I WILL ANSWER YOU AND I WILL TELL YOU GREAT AND MIGHTY THINGS WHICH YOU DO NOT KNOW!            Isaiah 55:12 FOR YOU WILL GO OUT WITH JOY AND BE LED FORTH WITH PEACE. THE MOUNTAINS AND THE HILLS WILL BREAK FORTH INTO SHOUTS OF JOY BEFORE YOU AND ALL THE TREES OF THE FIELD WILL CLAP THEIR HANDS.    About 5 years ago, I was a bit depressed thinking of my future & impending old age, etc. I saw the Isaiah verse above & it jumped off the page at me! I believe the Lord was encouraging me. Also there is a verse in Ecclesiastes about "the day of one's death is better than the day of one's birth". And Paul wrote "It is better to depart & to be with the Lord". I am learning just as David wrote about seeking the Lord's advice & God always answered him, we can ask the Lord anything, & HE WILL ANSWER, according to His good will of course.         We are having beautiful weather in January, 60 degrees & sunny, & it's supposed to last all week! What a blessing!        Love & prayers, in Jesus, Cynthia

  1. Wonderful verses, Cynthia!

It's also in the 60's here too, which is very unusual for January in Kansas, and tomorrow it is to be 70. We are loving it!

  2. Thank you Angie, for taking the time to comment. I just read a few words about BELIEVING God. They inspired me to look at these verses again with some fresh faith. These are just a few of many amazing promises God has made to us in His Word & I am praying to ALWAYS hold tight to Him & His promises to me, by faith!

  3. What you write is so beautiful! It also made me think of Psalm 116:15: "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints." These verses are such an encouragement to me tonight! Thank you, and may the Lord bless you. It was great to see you over at Deep Roots. I hope you will come again!
