Proverbs 31 Woman part ten

Proverbs 31, verse 23 " Her husband is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land." Our virtuous, kind, thoughtful, & productive Proverbs woman clearly brings her husband honor & a good reputation in their community. Actually, the type of woman that a man chooses is a huge indicator of his spiritual life. Remember in Proverbs Chapter seven, that the seductrous woman preys upon the young man "devoid of understanding." She also has "cast down many wounded" & slain "strong men". Her house is "on the way to hell." And of course, we must remember Samson, (God's man!) who foolishly fell for wicked Delilah & learned a most painful lesson. Thankfully, God gave him mercy & forgiveness.  We would all do well to pray carefully & listen to good advice when it comes to major decisions. We should pray about the small stuff as well! God is so willing to show us His will if we just care enough to ask Him.                 I found a great site about the Proverbs woman:                                         www.middletownbiblechurch.org/homefam/prov31.htm                                                                           I spend a lot of time comparing myself to other bloggers & sometimes wonder if I can possibly add anything of value. God continues to remind me in His still, small voice that each one of us is uniquely created by Him & consequently, we each have something unique to contribute. Our testimonies are unique & need to be told. And so I continue to write...Love & prayers, in Jesus, Cynthia                         Proverbs 18:22  " He who finds a wife finds a good thing & obtains favor from the Lord."

  1. Many excellent points. I think the one that hits closest to home right now, though, is the last one. It's so easy to feel insignificant, like there's nothing we have to contribute, but we all see things in different ways, all say things in different ways - not a word is wasted! I know yours are always such a blessing to me, friend! Keep listening to His voice, remembering that it's not about who you are compared to other bloggers, but about who you are - unique, treasured, with something to contribute that no one else in the entire world can offer.
