This World is NOT My Home!
Short & sweet here today.....this is one message I am hearing loud & clear lately from the Lord. God does NOT intend for us to find our happiness here & we are to "set our minds on things above, NOT things on earth". ( Colossians 3:2 ) I love Colossians 3! ( You might want to read it again! ) Our lives are not meant to be perfect, but they are meant to give GOD GLORY! I believe we are to have a GENUINE LONGING TO BE WITH THE LORD, nothing in this world is to be a rival for our love & longing for God alone! My prayer today for myself & you, fellow Christian, is that God expose anything or anyone that we might be focusing on or loving more than HIM alone. And may "His kindness lead us to repentance." Such a good message, Cynthia! It amazes me the lengths that non-Christians go to to be okay with the suffering in this world - I keep telling them that it wouldn't be worth it if God wasn't using it to shape us and change us and, ultimately, do everything for His Glory! This is certainly not our home. Thank you for this great reminder!
