So now that I find myself "a blogger!" the idea has become just a bit intimidating for various reasons, maybe the best being that once it's "out there", it's for the whole world to see! Knowing that I am accountable to God for "every careless word" that comes out of my mouth & knowing my tendancy to blurt out whatever is on my simple mind, has led me to pray quite simply but repeatedly, "Lord, let me truly hear from You because this is not about me nor do I want it to be!" Having a simple faith that the Lord hears my prayers according to His will & knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that He WANTS all our lives to be about Him & not about us, gives me tremendous confidence that the Lord WILL actually give me something from Him to shout from my rooftop (blog about). I would like to begin another paragraph here but I have no idea how. In Luke 17,Jesus tells a story about a servant who is ordered to serve his master dinner, without expecting praise or a thank you & who will eat his dinner after he serves his master.I have been pondering on this story since Mother's Day a few weeks ago. Being that this blog is about my testimony, I am going to share what I personally understand about this story. Quite simply, God is the perfectly good & generous Master Father Who gave me life eternal & has made me an heir, (His daughter!) of all things good & wonderful that He has prepared for "those who love Him".Also,EVERYTHING I DO to serve other people is to be done because it is what the Master expects me to do, not because people are going to thank me or that even God is going to thank me. God has already given me everything I could ever dream of through His Son Jesus Christ! I am going to be wonderfully rewarded for all that I do! Also God Himself, in me,by the Holy Spirit totally equips me to do whatever He asks me to do. Not only that, He gives me this incredible joy that INCREASES when I serve others! I AM HAPPY PEOPLE! God will do the same for you, I promise! Jesus said "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

  2. Great way to approach blogging - "Knowing that I am accountable to God for 'every careless word' that comes out of my mouth & knowing my tendancy to blurt out whatever is on my simple mind, has led me to pray quite simply but repeatedly, 'Lord, let me truly hear from You because this is not about me nor do I want it to be!' So true. Somehow, even when I have no idea what to say, He always gives something. Keep writing truth and keep the focus on Him!
